Join our dynamic Global Payments Services team as an Associate, where your analytical skills and motivation will be valued. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Global Payment Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of payments for MUFG Investor Services worldwide.
Our Global Payment Services team operates across several locations, including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Limassol, Dublin, Halifax, and Toronto, working collaboratively to manage client payments on a global scale.
As part of a small yet expanding team across three regions, you will support the operational processes for a new payments line of business. Your responsibilities will include managing payment exceptions and collaborating with both internal teams and clients to investigate and resolve these issues while delivering exceptional service for our payment and treasury products.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Engage with clients to address payment exceptions and manage the callback process for new beneficiaries.
- Timely escalate critical issues to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of client payments.
- Work closely with internal teams, such as Treasury, Banking Operations, and Client Operations, to meet all deliverables.
- Provide outstanding client service to both internal and external clients.
- Develop strong relationships with clients.
Continuous Improvement / Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and security of payment processes, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Contribute to workstreams involving upgrades to payment systems, process enhancements, and new product launches.
- Ensure that procedures are updated and aligned with firm standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new systems and processes related to payments.
