Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:DEC or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent experience;0 to 3 years of relevant experience;A passion for design with a keen interest in the construction toy industry;Proficient in hand sketching & creating models;Strong project presentation skills;Initiative and teamwork capability;Creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving;Attention to detail and aesthetics;A willingness to improve, learn, and grow;Ability to meet deadlines & manage product budget;Proficient in 3D-2D software (SolidWorks, C4D, Adobe Suite...);Knowledge of plastics – an asset;Interest & knowledge in popular culture, video games, action figure collecting, cinema;

The ideal candidate will bring creativity and strong industrial design skills to our construction toy design team. The selected individual will be passionate about toys and committed to achieving exceptional results in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
Reporting to the Product Design Manager, this role entails developing construction toys from ideation to production follow-ups, including delivering comprehensive technical production specifications. The product design role collaborates with graphic, engineering, and marketing teams.
Your Impact:
- Conceptualize new construction toy ideas;
- Execute product development activities: sketches, block constructions, formal and functional research, defining decorations & colors, etc.;
- Develop a thorough knowledge of licensed properties;
- Create 3D study models (mock-ups and prototypes);
- Prepare presentation images & product submissions;
- Participate in cost and feasibility analyses of products;
- Develop new 3D parts that integrate into the system, ready for injection;
- Plan & generate images for the assembly of instruction booklets;
- Work closely with other departments including engineers, project managers, brand managers, graphic designers, and more;
- Present and communicate various concepts during formal presentations.
