About the Role:
As the Associate in Risk and Compliance, you will play a vital role in ensuring Oscar adheres to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and laws. Your responsibilities will include reviewing operational practices, establishing and enforcing compliance policies, and conducting regulatory reviews. You will ensure compliance across the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and integrity.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate Compliance.
Work Location: This is a fully remote position for candidates located in Atlanta, GA. Although you will primarily work from home, our work model may evolve to include hybrid arrangements in the future.
Pay Transparency: The base salary for this role ranges from $87,188 to $114,434 annually. Additional benefits include participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and eligibility for annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with departments to monitor and ensure compliance levels.
- Provide training on regulatory compliance for team members.
- Ensure all staff are informed about compliance procedures.
- Develop and implement improvement plans for compliance as needed.
- Assign tasks to departments to enhance compliance levels.
- Create compliance reports for the governing body.
- Assist regulatory authorities during site visits and audits.
- Prepare for and conduct audits alongside external authorities.
- Perform regular audits to ensure compliance across all areas.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in health plan compliance.
- At least 2 years of experience with State DOI health insurance regulations and CMS.
