Position Overview:
The Research team at Vaxcyte utilizes an extensive range of chromatographic techniques to purify various vaccine antigens. Candidates should possess practical experience with multiple chromatographic methods, including but not limited to monoclonal antibody/Protein A workflows. This experience should encompass the selection, screening, development, scale-up, and characterization of diverse chromatography techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform AKTA FPLC chromatography techniques, including:
- Immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC)
- Ion-exchange chromatography (IEX)
- Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC)
- Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC)
- Hydroxyapatite (CHT / HA)
- Design chromatography trains to minimize host cell proteins, endotoxins, and aggregates using complementary techniques.
- Experience in Design of Experiments (DoE) for multimodal optimization is beneficial.
- Utilize membrane chromatography for high-throughput contaminant analysis.
