Position Overview:
The Autobody Manager serves as a pivotal front-line supervisory role, tasked with directly overseeing and developing a team of hourly associates within an Inspection Center to consistently meet production targets. This position is not visa eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the safe movement of vehicles into and out of the Inspection Center for repairs, ensuring production and quality goals are consistently met or exceeded.
- Achieve or surpass daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
- Oversee daily operations of the team, assessing strengths and weaknesses, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Engage and mentor team members, providing coaching and performance feedback to enhance skills.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages communication, teamwork, and alignment with Carvana’s core values.
- Effectively communicate expectations, performance metrics, and objectives to team members.
- Resolve conflicts among team members proactively.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Review and approve identification of mechanical and cosmetic defects in incoming inventory.
- Collaborate with the Inspection Center General Manager to determine whether to repair or reject inventory based on repair costs and overall vehicle quality.
