Role
As an Automation Lab Engineer at our Singapore facility, you will play an instrumental role within our team, leveraging your enthusiasm for robotics and hands-on expertise in our lab environment. In this dynamic position, you will engage with both industrial and mobile robots, contributing to a cross-functional team that is at the forefront of robotics innovation. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for both maintaining and enhancing our lab's capabilities, while also collaborating with partners globally and regionally to implement and support our cutting-edge robotic solutions.
How your work advances our mission
- Design, conceptualize, and build intricate robotic automation systems for platform testing and demonstration, playing a pivotal role in expanding our Singapore lab.
- Ensure the maintenance of the lab's essential infrastructure, including both industrial and mobile robots, to facilitate seamless research and development.
- Work closely with the global lab infrastructure team to establish and uphold best practices for lab operations, safety, and equipment management across various locations.
- Provide critical feedback to software developers and researchers for ongoing enhancement and validation of the platform.
- Research and incorporate the latest technologies into automation workcells.
- Partner with global and regional collaborators on the deployment, commissioning, and support of robotic systems in real-world applications.
Skills for Success
- A Bachelor's degree in mechatronics or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with mechatronic systems, preferably within the automation sector.
- Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and programming of robotic systems.
- A proven history of managing and coordinating hardware bring-up projects and/or overseeing a lab environment.
