Role Overview
As an Automotive Mechanic Technician in our high-volume mechanic shop, you will be tasked with diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our service operations. This role reports directly to the Mechanic Shop Manager or designated supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on A/C, heating, and refrigeration systems, including flushing contaminants, evacuating systems, and charging with refrigerant. Conduct OEM performance tests and troubleshoot issues.
- Diagnose and resolve brake system issues, including replacing cylinders and calipers, and utilizing on-car brake lathes for repairs.
- Conduct thorough diagnostics on electrical charging systems, providing in-depth analysis and solutions.
- Analyze clutch systems for premature wear and abuse, diagnosing necessary repairs.
- Inspect and maintain cooling systems, checking coolant levels, conducting pressure tests, and performing minor repairs.
- Diagnose and repair starting/cranking systems, identifying root causes of issues.
- Evaluate and repair vehicle lighting systems and electrical accessories, ensuring all components function correctly.
