About the job
Join Bosch as a Power Electronics Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for designing and managing automotive power electronics solutions, including DC-DC converters, Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs), and battery interfaces. Your role will involve schematic design, component selection, derating, and Bill of Materials (BOM) ownership. You will also design for various conditions such as load dump, cold crank, jump start, reverse polarity, and transients.
In this position, you will lead printed circuit board (PCB) bring-up activities, conduct power integrity checks, and validate thermal performance. You will utilize diagnostic tools including Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO), current probes, and power analyzers to troubleshoot failures. Additionally, you will support Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification/Production Verification (DV/PV), Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC), and address production-related issues. Collaboration with systems, hardware, validation, and manufacturing teams will be essential for your success in this role.
