As the Automotive Service Manager at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence and embodying our core values. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will cultivate a motivated team environment and collaborate closely with the Service Team to enhance performance through proactive coaching and effective execution of operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the recruitment process by supporting the Store Manager with final hiring decisions.
Oversee technicians and service staff, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring their assignments.
Mentor service department employees on operational procedures and service standards.
Directly interact with customers regarding sales, service inquiries, and adjustments.
Assess the performance and productivity of all service department personnel.
Manage parts inventory and outside purchases, ensuring compliance with the Parts and Tire Purchase Program.
Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.
Ensure optimal layout and positioning of equipment and hardware within the service area.
Supervise the shop area and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Coach staff on the wheel torqueing process and oversee inspection procedures.
