Reports To: Event Captain/Event Manager
General Purpose: As a Banquet Server at 21c Museum Hotels, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while showcasing your passion for our unique hospitality experience. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working as part of a diverse team serving a varied clientele.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the execution of events while collaborating with fellow Banquet & Catering teammates.
- Communicate effectively with Event Captains and the Event Manager to ensure outstanding service throughout the event.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEO), requisition sheets, and Event Captain instructions.
- Provide excellent service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met whether they are attending an event or dining in the hotel/restaurant.
- Take orders, serve food and beverages, and clear tables as required.
- Follow specific service protocols tailored to each event type.
- Demonstrate knowledge of procedures, terminology, and techniques utilized in the Banquet & Catering department.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage ingredients available for events.
- Be familiar with the hours, features, and services provided by 21c Museum Hotels.
- Exhibit a positive and proactive attitude in all situations.
- Capable of working individually for smaller meetings or as part of a team for larger events.
- Arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
