As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service during events, ensuring a professional, pleasant, and efficient dining experience for all guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive on time, dressed in the appropriate uniform with palm pin.
- Uphold the Raffles Service Culture and maintain operational excellence.
- Familiarize yourself with Raffles Dubai's service standards.
- Ensure all setup items are ready and available.
- Gather and transport supplies such as silverware, chinaware, linens, and condiments for event setups.
- Prepare banquet rooms per event specifications (tables, chairs, linens, décor).
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously to guests.
- Utilize proper service styles including plated, buffet, family-style, and cocktail service.
- Maintain cleanliness during the event by clearing tables and ensuring tidy spaces.
- Assist with buffet setups, replenishments, and breakdowns post-event.
- Coordinate with kitchen and banquet leaders for seamless service delivery.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve service issues swiftly.
- Present banquet checks to event organizers, ensuring proper documentation.
- Reset rooms after events and assist with any additional side duties as required.
- Report any deviations from standards or procedures to management.
- Maintain all operational equipment in good condition.
- Keep service and storage areas secure, clean, and locked.
- Document and report complaints or irregularities to management.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions led by the Assistant Banquets Manager.
- Assist the Banquets Leader and fulfill management requests.
- Comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
- Communicate to supervisors any challenges, guest feedback, or pertinent information.
- Foster effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage services, hotel features, and operational hours.
- Handle cash transactions with integrity and adhere to accounting procedures.
- Provide assistance to other Food & Beverage outlets during peak periods as needed.
