The Sofitel Montreal Le Carré Doré, a luxurious hotel that blends French elegance with refined local gastronomy, is a stunning fusion of minimalist design and warm sophistication. As a Banquet Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and oversee banquet activities, ensuring guest satisfaction at every turn.
Customer Service and Operations Management
- Ensure proper service planning based on expected attendance, adhering to banquet event orders (BEO);
- Foster a warm and professional relationship with guests, embodying the Sofitel brand spirit;
- Guarantee an exceptional experience for all guests;
- Address and manage guest feedback and concerns promptly;
- Inspect the setup and cleanliness of banquet halls, bars, tables, storage areas, and all necessary items for events;
- Thoroughly understand menu items, wine lists, and beverages, including their composition and allergens;
- Contribute to inventory control and bar supplies, ensuring proper product rotation;
- Demonstrate proactivity in departmental management and projects;
- Act as the main liaison between front-of-house staff, kitchen staff, sales department, and management to ensure seamless event organization;
- Respond to internal clients, suppliers, employees, and partners promptly and professionally (via email, phone, or in-person);
- Process event billing in the POS system;
- Conduct inventory follow-ups post-events;
- Execute daily and weekly tasks assigned to supervisors;
Team Management
- Serve as a reference point for employees, colleagues, and guests;
- Master Sofitel and LQA standards, ensuring compliance among staff;
- Support, lead, and motivate the banquet team, consistently;
- Coordinate banquet staff before, during, and after events;
- Assign tasks and ensure timely completion according to event requirements;
- Ensure availability of materials and tools for staff;
- Assist the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager with human resource management;
- Uphold and enforce established rules, policies, and procedures of the company, including health and safety regulations and hygiene standards;
