We are seeking a talented Banquets Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Accor in Nairobi. This key role involves assisting in the management and execution of all culinary operations for banquets and events, ensuring that our food production delivers high quality, consistency, and impeccable presentation for gatherings of every size.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in menu planning and preparation for banquets, events, and functions.
- Oversee, train, and schedule kitchen staff during banquet service.
- Guarantee that all food is prepared according to the highest quality standards and presentation guidelines.
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards diligently.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with procurement of food supplies for events.
- Work closely with the Banquet Manager and event team to fulfill guest expectations.
- Assist in cost control and strive to minimize waste in banquet operations.
- Provide support to the Executive Chef in various administrative tasks and reporting as necessary.
