As a Bartender at Soho House, your primary responsibility is to craft and serve a diverse array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, while delivering exemplary service and unforgettable experiences to our guests and members. You will embody the Soho House brand and contribute to our global food and beverage initiatives.
To excel in this role, you will warmly welcome customers, grasp their preferences, respond to inquiries, suggest menu items, and prepare drinks. Additionally, you will be encouraged to upsell products, innovate new recipes, use the appropriate tools and ingredients, and maintain cleanliness in your workspace. A successful Bartender possesses a polished appearance and a charming, approachable demeanor, facilitating an environment that fosters lively interaction and boosts sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to service protocols and company standards for beverage preparation.
- Keep your bar area clean and organized while collaborating with fellow bartenders to maintain shared spaces.
- Educate guests on beverage selections through House Tonic training.
- Promote daily specials and seasonal menu items to enhance the dining experience and drive sales.
- Process payments and manage cash register operations.
- Verify customer IDs to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol and tobacco sales, and monitor alcohol consumption.
- Create visually appealing displays of bottles and glassware to highlight specific beverages and enhance guest experience.
- Deliver friendly and supportive service to all customers.
- Track and manage inventory levels, coordinating with Barbacks for replenishment.
- Craft drinks according to established recipes to ensure a cohesive beverage program.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management team.
