Join our team as a Beamline Paint Operator on the 3rd shift, where you will be responsible for managing and operating the automated paint line dedicated to structural steel beams. Your expertise will ensure optimal coating application, equipment performance, and quality control throughout the painting process.
- Operate machines, ovens, baths, and pumps effectively.
- Set paint guns to appropriate high voltage levels and adjust airflow rates.
- Adapt painting programs and parameters as required.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of ATEX risks, including explosive materials and automatic fire systems (STS).
- Run PH degreasing bath equipment for product preparation.
- Oversee production processes such as degreasing and rinsing of products.
- Manage drying processes, including baking ovens and paint booths.
- Conduct bath controls involving pH levels and titration of products.
- Perform paint checks using Elcometer tools.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) including glasses, overalls, masks, earplugs, caps, gloves, and plastic sleeves.
- Maintain PM blow guns and ATEX vacuum cleaners for cleaning operations.
- Utilize cleaning machines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensure proper maintenance of suction cabins for powder tank cleaning.
- Collect powder using plastic bags and shovels or dust collectors.
- Engage in preventive maintenance by utilizing spare parts as needed.
