You will also play an essential role in supplier governance, risk management, cost optimization, and ensuring supply continuity in a fast-paced quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment.
In this role, you will closely coordinate with the Distribution Manager to guarantee end-to-end supply chain continuity with our third-party logistics partners while maintaining clear ownership of sourcing, supplier strategy, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and nurture local and regional suppliers, collaborating with FSQR and Operations to meet the needs of the Dairy Queen (DQ) brand and franchisees.
- Manage supplier relationships within Mexico, including negotiating pricing, coordinating supply planning, and resolving conflicts.
- Spot product and supplier opportunities to drive cost-saving initiatives and support Limited Time Offers (LTOs) as required.
- Oversee the development and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for all food, packaging, and other products needed for DQ stores.
- Develop and implement long-term category strategies that optimize cost, enhance supply resilience, and maintain quality to support brand growth and innovation.
- Lead supplier risk assessments, mitigation planning, and business continuity strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply in high-volatility environments.
- Ensure supplier compliance with brand standards, food safety regulations, and ethical sourcing policies in partnership with Quality and Legal teams.
Cross-Functional Support and LTO Execution:
- Support category growth and the execution of the product calendar within LA&C. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to manage supply chain processes aligned with DQ's Menu Vision.
- Facilitate the implementation, utilization, and reporting of the pipeline and innovation process throughout various stages of project and timeline management to streamline product development.
