Set up, adjust, and operate a diverse array of auxiliary binding machines equipped with various cutting heads and control surfaces, including inkjet and mailing devices, case making & decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines.
Configure automatic bindery machines that feature multiple functions and stations (such as power paper cutters, power collators, power folders, and power speed binders) that are electromechanically integrated with other equipment to create a comprehensive bindery and finishing unit that transforms printed sheets into final products like books, catalogs, manuals, directories, and magazines.
Conduct safety inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
Operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) that perform interrelated processes, including vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, and stacking completed books, magazines, or catalogs.
Make necessary adjustments to synchronize multiple workstations on a single machine.
Lead the production crew through all phases of the binding process.
Monitor quality, output, and productivity to meet production standards.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
