The Bookkeeping Manager will spearhead a dynamic team of offshore bookkeepers, ensuring precise and timely management of accounts, payroll, reconciliations, and BAS/IAS submissions. This role involves overseeing client deliverables, providing mentorship and training to the team, and serving as the primary contact for clients regarding bookkeeping inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and nurture a team of offshore bookkeepers, offering daily guidance, training, and support.
- Distribute and balance workloads among team members to guarantee the achievement of targets and timely completion of client deliverables.
- Identify and remediate performance challenges or skill deficiencies through constructive feedback and training initiatives.
- Supervise accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, month-end closings, and payroll services for all clients.
- Provide assistance with complex transactions or cover responsibilities as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Conduct end-of-month reviews and client file assessments.
- Ensure the punctual preparation and submission of BAS and IAS on a monthly or quarterly schedule, as applicable.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients concerning bookkeeping-related issues.
- Hold regular finance calls with clients (often via Microsoft Teams) to address AP matters, bank reconciliation questions, and other accounting concerns.
- Respond swiftly to client inquiries, ensuring replies within 24 hours.
- Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures, client workpapers, and process documentation for each engagement.
