About the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Box Truck Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation, delivery, and unloading of windows and patio door products to customers, including dealers, distribution centers, and construction sites. This role encompasses a broad skill set that includes safe driving practices and excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively in English to engage with the general public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to inquiries, and complete reports/records per DOT Reg 391.11.
- Execute all assigned delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries to local construction sites and manually offloading products as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and promptness.
- Consistently represent the company in a professional manner in all interactions and personal appearance.
- Comply with all Cascade policies and procedures.
- Accurately complete all delivery and return documentation.
- Maintain driver logs and perform required vehicle inspections.
- Ensure equipment is kept in a clean and organized condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols as outlined in the safety handbook and DOT regulations.
- Efficiently load and unload trucks, assisting others when necessary.
- Allocate approximately 50% of the time to loading/unloading and 50% to driving.
