At Wave, we are on a journey to transform Africa into the world's first cashless continent. In 2017, a staggering portion of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa lacked access to banking services, primarily due to prohibitive fees, inconvenient branch locations, and limited acceptance of cards. Many individuals resorted to keeping their savings at home, while small business owners faced exorbitant lending rates. Parents found themselves waiting in long lines just to pay school fees in cash.
Our innovative approach is to offer financial services that are accessible, without account fees, and universally accepted. Regardless of the challenges posed by inconsistent access to electricity, water, or infrastructure, Wave empowers users to send money effortlessly. Since our launch of a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposits, withdrawals, and peer-to-peer payments, we have rapidly expanded, now serving millions across 9 countries.

How You’ll Contribute
Are you passionate about shaping a brand that revolutionizes financial access? We are looking for a strategic Brand Communications Manager to breathe life into Wave's mission by creating impactful brand experiences that resonate with our audience. Through engaging storytelling, strategic partnerships, and exceptional execution, you will ensure our brand embodies our values, fosters trust, and advances our mission of making financial services accessible for all as we continue to grow in Senegal.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the comprehensive execution of high-impact brand and community initiatives, ensuring alignment with Wave's mission and values.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of Wave's brand identity, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice, empowering teams to communicate with clarity and consistency across all platforms.
- Oversee the creative development of campaigns and brand programs, collaborating with agencies and internal teams to deliver compelling content and high-quality assets.
- Work closely with PR, People, and other stakeholders to craft narratives for internal and external communications—including events, content, and storytelling—that authentically reflect Wave's values and deepen audience trust.
