Bridge Project Manager
Location: Herndon, VA
Join our dynamic team at mlabs as a Bridge Project Manager. This pivotal role is intended for a seasoned structural engineer eager to step into a client-facing leadership capacity. You will take complete ownership of project oversight and execution across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.
In this capacity, you will direct a diverse range of transportation structure projects, from minor undertakings valued at $5M–$10M to significant design-build ventures of regional importance. As the primary client contact, you will utilize your extensive technical expertise to guide engineering teams, manage resources efficiently, and ensure exemplary project outcomes without the necessity for daily design production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee bridge and structural projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Client Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing expectations and fostering long-term strategic partnerships.
- Technical Oversight: Offer high-level guidance to structural staff, reviewing their work and making critical technical decisions for complex bridge designs.
- Strategic Planning: Craft project management and quality control strategies, monitor risks, and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Team Coordination: Supervise subconsultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Business Growth: Assist in business development through proposal writing, client interviews, and mentoring junior team members.
