What You'll Be Doing:As a Build Engineer, you will be instrumental in the execution of innovative fusion generator assemblies. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the manufacturing, assembly, and deployment of subsystems for integrated development testbeds and fusion generators. You will collaborate closely with design engineering and production teams to ensure that manufacturability is incorporated throughout the design process. This role reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and will be conducted onsite at our Everett, WA office.You will be responsible for:Leading the definition and execution of build and assembly processes for generator subsystems, which may include large structures, moving mechanical assemblies, power transmission systems, vacuum systems, electromagnets, high-voltage capacitor systems, low-voltage harnessing, and radiation shielding.Creating detailed work instructions for technician teams to facilitate both standard builds and nonconformance resolutions.Designing and manufacturing tooling that enhances the efficiency of assembly and installation processes for generator subsystems.Collaborating with production, integration, and engineering teams to develop prototypes and manufacturing demonstrators.Ensuring excellence in configuration management, hardware quality, and the pace of execution.Becoming a subject matter expert in the lifecycle of parts, from procurement through final assembly, to continuously enhance low-volume build processes for components less than 1000 pieces.
