Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the management team at Renown Health, the Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of accounts receivable, cash support services, and credentialing within the Business Office. This leadership role focuses on optimizing cash flow through effective revenue collection strategies, minimizing denials, and ensuring efficient transaction processes across the Renown Health System.
The successful candidate will uphold the standards of excellence established by the Director, fostering a culture of accountability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare claims processes, ensuring compliant billing practices to both insurance providers and patients. The Manager will oversee the revenue cycle, integrating data from patient encounters to facilitate prompt collections and meet departmental objectives.
Key duties include managing Pre-Accounts Receivable operations, addressing Discharged, Not Final Billed accounts, and supervising workflows such as Claim Edit Work Queues. The Manager will also engage in remittance adjudication, address clinical and technical denials, and ensure effective follow-up with designated payors.
Collaboration with internal departments is essential to enhance data collection and improve upfront performance. The Manager will provide training and feedback to providers on accurate charging and coding practices, ensuring all necessary billing information is available for timely processing.
Staying updated on federal, state, and third-party billing requirements is crucial, and the Manager will share technical insights with peers and subordinate staff to drive down accounts receivable and boost cash flow through innovative ideas and initiatives.
