We are seeking an innovative and driven Business Operations Lead to become a foundational partner to the founders of Rowspace. This role is ideal for a high-caliber generalist adept at navigating complex, high-stakes challenges and steering them towards effective solutions. You will collaborate across various functions including go-to-market strategy, product development, and financial management, focusing on the most critical priorities for the business.
Your role will be a blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution. Your ability to transform ideas into actionable steps will be paramount, whether it involves engaging with customers, creating financial models, or addressing team gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of strategic initiatives from conception to execution, including go-to-market strategies, pricing frameworks, and market segmentation.
- Act as the analytical partner to the founders; develop analyses and frameworks that inform pivotal business decisions.
- Aggregate insights from diverse sources such as customer feedback, pipeline data, and product usage to formulate actionable recommendations.
- Participate in customer-facing activities, including discovery calls, demonstrations, onboarding, and quarterly business reviews.
- Lead cross-functional projects that lack a designated owner, ensuring critical tasks are completed efficiently.
- Support recruitment efforts and contribute to team development as Rowspace scales.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of relevant experience, likely in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a high-growth startup environment, where you've been a go-to person for solving complex problems.
- Outstanding analytical skills; comfortable building financial models, analyzing markets, and restructuring pricing strategies.
- Proactive and self-driven; you prioritize effectively and pursue what truly matters without needing direction.
- Exceptional writing skills; able to simplify intricate concepts into clear memos or presentations that inspire action.
- Versatile and comfortable navigating ambiguity; capable of shifting from competitive analysis to customer interaction to recruitment discussions seamlessly.
- A genuine curiosity about the financial services sector, eager to deepen your understanding of the industry.
