- Evaluate graduates' readiness for job placement and provide relevant referrals and support services in alignment with DOL, Center, and Equus standards.
- Strive for timely job placements and retention of graduates in high-quality positions, military roles, or further educational opportunities, aiming for a 50% placement rate before separation.
- Build and sustain partnerships with employers, One-Stop Centers, and State Employment Agencies to facilitate job opportunities.
- Conduct regular monthly follow-ups with graduates and former participants to deliver continuous placement assistance.
- Guide graduates in resume writing, interview techniques, and job search methodologies.
- Identify and refer individuals to transitional support services essential for successful job placement and retention.
- Facilitate weekly training workshops covering career preparation subjects and oversee Career Prep students.
- Document all provided placement services in case notes and confirm placements with employers.
- Forge relationships with community colleges and other organizations to secure successful placements leading to rewarding career pathways.
- Deliver tailored services to Job Corps graduates and former participants throughout their designated service duration.
- Innovate and implement strategies aimed at enhancing graduate placement rates and job retention.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure a smooth transition from training to employment for graduates.
- Stay informed about labor market trends and in-demand occupations to effectively support graduates.
- Organize and engage in job fairs, both on-site and within the community, to connect graduates with prospective employers.
- Monitor placement outcomes and provide management with regular updates regarding progress towards goals.
- Assist in developing and executing alumni engagement initiatives to promote the long-term success of graduates.
- Offer guidance on financial literacy and budgeting to empower graduates in managing their finances after placement.
- Work with local workforce development boards to align placement strategies with regional economic objectives.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
