Maintaining Excellence in Cargo Operations
As a Cargo Agent at Emirates SkyCargo in Amsterdam, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of cargo operations. When a freight flight arrives at Schiphol, you oversee the handling process by our ground handling partner, ensuring compliance with Emirates SkyCargo standards. You will review load plans, adhere to instructions, and intervene as necessary, while ensuring accurate documentation, identifying discrepancies, and sharing critical information in a timely manner.
Your responsibilities include monitoring, verifying, and assisting in the daily cargo operations, blending operational oversight with administrative duties and client interactions in a dynamic 24/7 environment.
Your Responsibilities
Supervise service delivery from the Ground Handling Agent (GHA) in accordance with Emirates SkyCargo standards.
Verify operational processes, build instructions, load plans, and safety protocols.
Monitor import reception and breakdown, resolving bottlenecks swiftly.
Prepare and validate cargo and transport documentation.
Ensure compliance with shipment status tracking and local regulations.
Update flight handling reports and identify discrepancies.
Send post-flight information to relevant departments.
Handle and process telephone cargo reservations.
Respond to and resolve customer inquiries.
Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, statistics, and reporting.
Support commercial cargo activities as necessary.
Your Qualifications
Completed secondary education.
Experience with cargo reservations and/or airport operations.
Familiarity with SITA-based reservation systems (preferred).
Understanding of hazardous goods procedures.
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends.
Commitment to wearing company uniform.
