About the job
Are you passionate about making a tangible impact through renovation projects where residents appreciate your work? If so, Dura Vermeer is the right place for you.
Based out of our regional office in Groningen, you will engage in exciting renovation and sustainability projects across Northern Netherlands. Unlike anonymous new builds, you will be working on existing homes where your craftsmanship truly matters: from portico apartments in the city to 1960s houses in neighborhoods throughout Groningen and Southeast Drenthe. You will work directly in the community, often in occupied conditions, where every day presents new challenges and where your efforts are visibly making a difference.
This role focuses on genuine carpentry, devising smart solutions, and collaborating within dedicated teams. What you build today will be appreciated by residents tomorrow – that's your motivation.
This will be your role
Currently, we are working in various locations such as Vinkenstraat & Vogelbuurt (Oosterpark) on occupied housing renovations involving asbestos/fire safety, facades/roofs, installations, and sustainability efforts. In Heemskerkstraat / Blekerslaan (Groningen), we focus on student housing, handling facade and roof work, insulation, installations, heat pumps/PV systems, and finishing touches. Projects like Actium (Haulerwijk/Appelscha) & NCG Beijum involve large-scale housing improvements, tailored renovations, sustainability efforts, and earthquake-resistant repairs.
Dismantling and assembling window frames (wood and plastic) and installing HR++ glass.
Executing roofing tasks: roof replacement, eaves, balconies, preparations for PV and green roofs.
Facade work: installing prefab facades, facade cladding, and insulation work.
Carrying out structural carpentry, with earthquake-resistant modifications on certain projects.
