As the Catholic Mass Music Director at Langley AFB Chapel, you will play a key role in enhancing the spiritual experience by providing musical leadership during the 0900 Sunday Mass and other sacred liturgical services. Your responsibilities will include directing and coordinating sacred music that fosters congregational participation and aligns with Catholic liturgical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver organ, piano, vocal, and/or instrumental accompaniment for the 0900 Sunday Mass and special Catholic services such as Holy Days of Obligation and funerals.
Select and prepare liturgically appropriate music with the approval of the Catholic Priest.
Conduct weekly rehearsals for choir members, cantors, and instrumentalists (minimum of 60 minutes, not immediately before Mass).
Recruit, train, and direct volunteer choir members, instrumentalists, and cantors.
Lead congregational singing and ensure active participation in worship.
