About the job
- Handle materials by loading and unloading them using your hands, forklifts, or overhead cranes.
- Verify delivery accuracy by reconciling materials against shipping lists and obtaining customer signatures upon receipt.
- Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer, addressing any safety concerns before driving.
- Follow all company policies, D.O.T. regulations, and traffic laws while operating the vehicle.
- Utilize a piggy-back trailer-mounted forklift to deliver products at customer job sites (training will be provided).
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy in customer interactions at all times.
- The role requires frequent physical activity, including standing, lifting, and moving heavy products (60+ pounds).
- Be prepared for exposure to varying temperatures and seasonal climate conditions while working outside the tractor-trailer.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained for optimal performance and appearance.
- Assist with inventory management through activities such as cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean work environment and practice safe working methods.
- Focus on delivering high-quality customer service and achieving operational goals.
