Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate vehicles in compliance with state and federal transportation regulations.Safely transport loads along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.Skillfully maneuver trucks and trailers in loading and unloading zones, following crew signals.Assist in loading and unloading goods and materials, utilizing specialized equipment as needed.Maintain accurate records of invoices, shipping documents, and deliver them upon completion of delivery routes.Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks, including oil, water, fuel, and air pressure, reporting any malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.Organize trailers within shipping yards for optimal loading configurations.Carry out additional duties as assigned. Required Skills & QualificationsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers and colleagues.Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment.Possession of a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or chauffeur’s license, depending on the state and vehicle weight.Successful completion of background checks and drug testing as mandated by federal and state regulations.
