About the job
Join our dynamic team at Centria Autism as a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of children with autism. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals who are eager to make a meaningful impact.
As a Behavior Technician, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work one-on-one with children, implementing customized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role will involve employing evidence-based strategies to enhance communication, social skills, and daily living abilities while minimizing challenging behaviors.
We are looking for individuals who are not only enthusiastic about working with children but also possess the patience and empathy required to thrive in a collaborative environment. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills, even if you have no prior experience in the field. It’s important to note that children can be unpredictable and may exhibit confrontational behaviors; this role requires resilience and a strong spirit. Additionally, you will engage in physical activities as part of your daily responsibilities, so candidates should be comfortable with standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and potentially carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
At the end of each day, you will leave knowing that you have contributed to the growth and happiness of a child and their family. Become part of our dedicated team that is committed to positive change. Apply today to embark on your journey as a Behavior Technician!
