A Typical Day in This Role:
Each day brings unique challenges and rewards, but here are your core responsibilities:
- Delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care to ensure the safety and support of young people
- Building positive relationships and promoting healthy routines
- Assisting with meal preparation, educational support, and life skills development
- Championing their voice, ensuring they feel heard and valued
- Facilitating attendance at medical appointments and engaging in community activities
- Using your own vehicle to transport young individuals as needed
- Empowering them to move forward with confidence into their next chapter
What We Seek:
Experience engaging with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
A valid UK driver’s licence and your own vehicle
Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
A flexible approach (availability for waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins when required)
A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
A relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent) is preferred, but not mandatory.
What We Offer in Return:
Competitive Compensation:
£17.50ph - £24.00ph PAYE Rate (includes holiday pay)
£20.00ph - £28.00ph Umbrella Rate
