About the job
Join Our Mission as a City Connector:
Mem Global is dedicated to fostering connections among Jewish young adults in their 20s and early 30s, enabling them to explore and create meaningful Jewish experiences with peers. As the umbrella brand for a diverse array of global programs, we empower young adults to celebrate Judaism through thousands of peer-driven gatherings across more than 25 countries each year. We are committed to crafting spaces where Jewish young adults can lead, learn, and build communities that contribute to a vibrant Jewish future.
In collaboration with the One8 Foundation, Mem Global is excited to introduce a new pilot program in two U.S. cities aimed at helping unengaged Jewish young adults form connections through enjoyable local experiences and curated social events. Our approach is to meet young Jews (ages 22-32) in engaging, low-pressure environments that open pathways for authentic friendships and connections.
Our initiative is guided by thorough consumer research conducted among unengaged Jewish young adults in over a dozen U.S. cities, which highlighted a pressing need: forming friendships as an adult is challenging, and many existing Jewish institutions do not resonate with this demographic. We recognize the importance of friendship in adulthood and believe that Jewish connection can be a vital catalyst for developing these bonds. This program is our response to the insights we gathered, and we are on a mission to assist young, unaffiliated Jewish or “Jew-ish” adults in discovering community, friendship, meaning, and joy in Jewish spaces.
As a City Connector, you will bring this pilot program to life in your city. You will be the face of our initiative, designing and hosting creative, socially-focused events for unengaged Jewish young adults who may not actively seek Jewish friendships but are open to the possibility. Imagine intimate dinners at trendy local eateries, gatherings based on shared interests, and unique social activities that encourage natural connections. Over time, we aim to cultivate a vibrant social club in your city with a diverse lineup of events that resonate with young, Jew-ish adults.
This role demands a blend of creativity, determination, analytical thinking, and genuine warmth. If you thrive on building new initiatives, love connecting with people, and are passionate about helping young Jews find their community, we encourage you to apply.
