Qualifications
Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, along with eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.Proven experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or Business Administration.Six (6) years of relevant experience in industrial and data center design and/or project management.Lean Six Sigma Certification.Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional.Current or recent leadership role in data center and mission-critical trade organizations.Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.Capable of thriving in dynamic, time-sensitive environments with limited supervision.Proven team leadership skills.Strong interpersonal and presentation capabilities.

AECOM is in search of a skilled and proactive Civil Design Manager to lead the design efforts for a diverse range of greenfield and modification projects related to colocation and hyperscale data centers. The successful candidate will guide projects from initial due diligence and campus planning through conceptual, schematic, and detailed design phases, culminating in construction documentation and administration. Ideal candidates should have a solid background in civil engineering, extensive experience with industrial and data center civil and utility infrastructure design, and exemplary communication skills.
This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule with options to be based from various AECOM offices throughout the U.S. While remote work is encouraged, attending the office is preferred if located near one of our facilities. Occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings, project milestones, onsite collaboration, or other essential activities, with travel arrangements made in advance.
