Timmons Group is actively searching for a Civil Project Manager specializing in Traffic Analysis and Planning to join our esteemed Traffic Analysis and Planning Group in our Charlottesville, VA office.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing project management for assigned tasks, ensuring strong client relationships are cultivated and maintained.
- Driving business development and marketing initiatives, ensuring technical quality, profitability, project scheduling, staff coordination, and effective client communications.
- Negotiating project scopes and fees, handling billing, and providing assistance in fee collection when necessary, along with ongoing client relationship management.
- Managing multiple mid-sized projects or a larger project concurrently, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills.
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred professional registration (e.g., P.E., PTOE) in states where Timmons Group operates.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in roadway design and traffic engineering, particularly with VDOT and local governments in Virginia.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, with proven ability to manage schedules and budgets across multiple projects.
- Experience in marketing and supervising technical work.
- Proficient in technical and office software essential for the role, such as MicroStation and various traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, SimTraffic, Trans Modeler, VISSIM).
- Consistently maintains a professional demeanor towards clients and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and task completion.
- Commitment to fostering professional relationships and assisting team members in meeting critical deadlines.
