Key Responsibilities
The Class A Driver is responsible for the safe transport and unloading of products to our customers. This role requires daily interaction with clients to address any concerns, and the driver will report directly to the Site Manager.
This position is ideal for someone who is safety-conscious, self-motivated, and adaptable to various shift timings. As a crucial member of our Fleet Department, you will have the opportunity to grow your career with a leader in the industry.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Loading and unloading glass and/or metal products, ensuring proper load securement, and performing daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Handling various types of products including loose, crated, and racked glass, as well as metal items and boom crane operation.
- Maintaining regular attendance, performing tasks safely, and adhering to all DOT regulations and safety policies, including Critical Safety Rules.
Qualifications We Seek
- Compliance with all DOT requirements, including a valid Medical Examiners Certificate.
- Flexibility with start and end times.
- Ability to read and interpret mathematical measurements related to glass sizes and delivery schedules, as well as proficient use of a tape measure.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Strong customer service skills and effective interpersonal abilities.
