Lynn Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent public sector client to recruit a dedicated Cleansing Operative for the Belfast region. This is a full-time, temporary position offering a competitive hourly wage of £9.55.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and conclude daily tasks at the designated depot, performing cleansing, waste collection, and priority waste activities in various locations, regardless of weather conditions.
- Operate and manage collection systems and equipment safely, ensuring proper use and storage while promptly reporting any defects to management, such as issues with bin lifts or tail lifts.
- Assist in gathering necessary data using computerized or manual data capture systems and prepare required reports.
- Conduct operations with respect for property and minimal disruption to the public, ensuring bins are emptied, returned to their rightful place undamaged, and lids are replaced. Utilize appropriate mechanical aids when access allows, promptly clear any spills, and ensure gates are secured.
- Provide management with updates upon completing daily routes, reporting any missed collections, new collection requirements, unfinished tasks, or challenges encountered, and returning to any overlooked areas as needed.
- Fulfill reasonable requests from Cleansing Services management and undertake additional relevant duties as required.
