About the job
About Us:
Cogent Biosciences is a pioneering biotechnology firm dedicated to the development of innovative precision therapies aimed at addressing a wide array of unmet medical needs. Our flagship program, bezuclastinib, specifically targets exon 17 mutations in the KIT receptor tyrosine kinase, such as KIT D816V, which is a key factor in a rare and severe condition known as Systemic Mastocytosis. Additionally, these mutations are prevalent in patients suffering from gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), a cancer type closely tied to oncogenic KIT signaling. Bezuclastinib has shown promising initial results across three clinical trials: APEX for Advanced Systemic Mastocytosis (AdvSM), SUMMIT for Non-Advanced Systemic Mastocytosis (NonAdvSM), and PEAK for GIST, showcasing a favorable safety profile in over 600 patients in both single-agent and combination settings.
