Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing preferredRegistered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioCompletion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program, Level II Rescuer certificationCompletion or in progress of an advanced education program such as: NSWOCC, MClSc-WH, MScCH: WPC, WOCN, or IIWCCCNA Certification in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Certified Canada WOCC(C)Membership in the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) or other relevant organizations preferredA minimum of five (5) years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in an acute care settingAt least two (2) years of specialized experience in wound, ostomy, and continence careAbility to perform duties compassionately and professionally, producing high-quality work while adhering to deadlines in accordance with UHN standardsStrong initiative and judgment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Position Summary:As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team at the Toronto Western Site and UHN Wound and Skin Clinical Leadership, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays an essential role in delivering expert care and ensuring optimal outcomes for patients with complex wound, ostomy, and skin care needs. This position requires advanced clinical knowledge and a commitment to best practices in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Responsibilities include providing expert consultations, developing individualized care plans, and facilitating patient and family education on wound and ostomy care. Additionally, the Coordinator will engage in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to academic and research projects, uphold clinical documentation standards, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance nursing practice across the organization.
