Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

What Will You Do?
In your role as Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will take the lead in managing and enhancing our cloud infrastructure. You will not only work within Azure but will also explore broader strategies to minimize dependencies and future-proof our platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass both the current environment and its evolution towards modern standards. A critical aspect of your role will involve standardizing monitoring and observability, creating reusable templates, and facilitating migrations from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions. You will collaborate closely with development teams, IT Operations, and the IT Security Officer, serving as the technical point of contact for complex issues and incidents. Your key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing the cloud architecture
Managing and optimizing the Azure infrastructure (Azure Next)
Implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and Terraform)
Setting up and enhancing monitoring, logging, and observability (including Elastic Cloud, Kibana, and OpenTelemetry)
Automating deployments via CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and Azure DevOps Pipelines)
Supporting migrations and modernization of legacy environments
What Are We Looking For?
You are an experienced and independent engineer with a strong DevOps mindset. You take ownership and feel responsible for the stability and future of the infrastructure. You think in solutions, work methodically, and are able to simplify complex technical challenges into practical implementations. You communicate easily with various stakeholders and actively contribute to improvements within the platform. Additionally, you bring the following:
A minimum of HBO work and thinking level and approximately 7+ years of experience in a cloud or infrastructure role
Proven experience with Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and/or Terraform)
Experience with CI/CD and pipelines within Azure DevOps and working with Git/version control
