About the job
At Associated Electric Cooperative, we are passionate about delivering dependable energy solutions to the communities we serve. Our dedicated team works diligently to ensure that our expansive network keeps the lights on and energy flowing smoothly.
We pride ourselves on our diverse range of skills and expertise, and we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and growth for every team member.
Join us in revolutionizing the technology that sustains the largest machine on earth—the U.S. power grid. We operate a fleet of power plants that power homes across the Midwest, and we are developing a groundbreaking product that will serve as the backbone of our power plant management. This innovative tool will provide a comprehensive digital representation of our entire fleet, allowing for a unified, data-driven perspective on plant health and performance. It will integrate asset data, financials, and strategic plans into a cohesive platform that aligns our daily operations with long-term objectives.
We are seeking a talented software engineer with a history of creating cloud-native, data-centric, and visually appealing enterprise applications that mirror the quality of consumer products. This role is not about standard enterprise apps; it’s about crafting an intuitive and elegant experience that meets the needs of various stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to shape the product from its inception, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and UX designers to create impactful solutions that enhance user experience and drive significant business outcomes.
Your team will not be starting from scratch; we already have an established ecosystem of power production technology systems that will integrate with this new product. This includes both modernized third-party systems and various internal tools. This role provides the opportunity to engage with users, enhance current systems, and lead the future of product evolution as we transition to a digital twin-centered management model.
