RESPONSIBILITIES:Fabricate electromechanical production and testing systems utilizing a diverse range of tools, machines, and equipment in collaboration with engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.Employ creativity in fabricating components through the use of mills, lathes, welding, brakes, presses, and CNC processes.Assemble intricate integrated systems, including mechanical precision assembly, high and low voltage wiring, and pneumatic components.Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to facilitate the fabrication and assembly processes for essential tooling and equipment.Maintain and enhance the operation of the development shop by ensuring proper workflow, safety protocols, cleanliness, and inventory management.Advocate for and implement 5S principles to foster an organized and efficient workspace.Encourage innovation within the team by being proactive in challenging existing processes and developing unique solutions.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent certification.Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical fabrication, including component assembly, welding, machining, and the use of hand tools.PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Proficiency in reading mechanical and engineering drawings, with a solid understanding of GD&T principles.
