Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.At least 5 years of experience in carpentry or construction, ideally in service and maintenance roles.Proficient in independently performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.Strong customer service skills with effective on-site communication.Familiarity with work order management software.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (necessary for operating company service vehicle).Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances for working in government sector facilities.Ability to complete and maintain Working at Heights certification.Capacity to work independently while upholding high safety and quality standards.Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, and working in diverse environments.

Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Construction and Maintenance Technician at Dexterra Group, where your skills will shine as you travel to various client commercial facilities to deliver exceptional repair and renovation services. Our primary focus is on retail commercial buildings, while also providing support for a diverse range of other commercial sites within our expansive portfolio across southern Ontario, including the extended GTA region, Windsor, Niagara, Ottawa, and Orillia.
In this mobile role, you will respond to service calls, expertly diagnose issues, and perform essential repairs on client facility structures. Your commitment to minimizing client downtime while ensuring high-quality, safe, and code-compliant work will be paramount. Additionally, you will identify improvement opportunities, conduct on-site assessments, and prepare recommendations for repairs or upgrades to be communicated to our office staff.
This position also offers opportunities to collaborate with other technicians on larger renovation projects, enhancing client facilities through comprehensive interior renovations.
