Position Summary
We are currently looking for a reliable and meticulous Commercial HVAC Technician to assist our clients post-installation. This role emphasizes equipment start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance of installed systems, maintaining efficiency and meeting customer expectations for comfort and reliability.
This position entails approximately 5-15% travel, primarily within the greater Portland area, which may include overnight stays. All travel expenses will be reimbursed according to company policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and oversee the start-up and commissioning of newly installed HVAC systems, ensuring all operations and settings are verified.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to enhance system longevity and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve HVAC equipment problems, including electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, and airflow discrepancies.
- Ensure control systems and safety devices are functioning properly.
- Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to swiftly address post-installation concerns.
- Document all service and maintenance tasks, including test results, parts utilized, and system modifications.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance, recommended enhancements, and service requirements.
- Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Engage in ongoing training to remain updated on HVAC technologies, diagnostic tools, and energy efficiency methodologies.
