Job Summary
The Commercial Lines Product Manager (CLPM) will specialize in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance lines characterized by complex underwriting, high exposure limits, and long-tailed loss profiles. The CLPM will collaborate closely with underwriting leaders, technology teams, and finance and executive management to enhance the MGA's gross margin for designated P&C insurance programs through effective premium production, loss ratio management, and operational efficiencies. A comprehensive understanding of the coverages, rating mechanisms, business processes, systems, and data relevant to the assigned programs is essential. The CLPM will act as a subject matter expert on policy data stored, transformed, and reported through ISC’s data warehouse and business intelligence tools. This role reports to the AVP of Product Management and Actuarial.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product scorecards to track key performance indicators, analyze trends in program performance, identify opportunities, and make actionable recommendations. Summarize results to share with Business Unit leaders and company management.
- Gain expertise in insured policy and claim data acquired by ISC and partner systems, including data retention, storage, and visualization using ISC data warehouse and reporting tools. Utilize SQL, Python, or other analytical applications to gather, summarize, and report policy, premium, and loss data. Employ data insights for reporting and analysis to uncover opportunities, enhance process efficiency, and boost automation.
- Collaborate with underwriting business unit leaders to ensure alignment with product strategies and operational goals.
