Salary: $4,200 - $5,460/month
Start Date: May 4, 2026

Position Overview:
The Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) is excited to invite applications for the role of Community Engagement Coordinator as part of the Shape Up The Vote initiative. This dynamic campaign leverages barbershops and salons to energize voter turnout, transforming them into vital engagement hubs within their communities. The Coordinator will be pivotal in crafting a seamless and supportive experience for barbers and stylists involved in our program, ensuring that they are engaged, informed, and equipped for success throughout the campaign's critical milestones.
Reporting to the Digital Director, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with Community Organizers and Communication Support Specialists. Key responsibilities include developing and nurturing a robust network of participating barbers and stylists, enhancing retention through effective communication and support, and executing training and partner alignment to ensure smooth operations during peak times. Depending on the final location, this role may involve regular travel to shops and partner events (approximately one day per week) to strengthen partnerships, facilitate activities, and gather valuable insights from the community.
This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates located in designated states. As a full-time team member, you will enjoy benefits such as employer-sponsored health insurance, paid time off, and holidays. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and encourage especially those from underrepresented communities (including people of color, Black women, and allies) to apply. If you are interested in this opportunity but are unsure about meeting all qualifications, we encourage you to submit your application.
