Position Overview:
The Community Relations Manager leads the development and execution of the department's hallmark initiatives, including the We Are All Kings Community and Diversity and Inclusion programs, as well as the Kings Green sustainability initiative. This position is responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships with local organizations and community groups to enhance Heritage and other themed events. The Manager will collaborate across various departments to organize key organizational and foundation events, such as the LA Kings 5K, Golf Tournament, and Festival, along with co-sponsored activities with Foundation partners. Additionally, this role will support the charitable efforts of Kings players and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee signature programs and cultivate meaningful partnerships with key demographic groups.
- Develop initiatives and foster community relations focusing on LGBTQIA+, AAPI, Black, and Brown communities.
- Enhance the team’s sustainability platform across its three primary aspects: arena operations, community programs, and fan engagement.
- Ensure compliance with sponsorship agreements associated with signature programs.
- Act as the primary liaison for NHL initiatives, leading efforts such as Hockey Fights Cancer, Pride, NHL Green, Salute To Service, and related Kings programming.
