As the Community Table Lead, you will have complete oversight of the daily operations of the Community Table initiative. Your responsibilities will include preparing delicious menu items, upholding sustainable service standards, supervising student employees, managing product orders, crafting engaging menus, and assisting with dishes and general kitchen support. Your role is crucial in ensuring efficient service, high food quality, and maintaining cleanliness within Retail Food Operations.
This is a temporary part-time position that does not include benefits. The starting pay ranges from $19.92 to $24.40 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create and manage menus, collaborating with vendors for product procurement, and preparing and serving menu items aligned with the presidential initiative.
- Produce, stock, and maintain AM Grab and Go selections at designated locations.
- Operate, load, and clean dishwashing equipment while ensuring a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Recruit, schedule, and supervise student employees.
- Adhere to food safety and sustainability practices, ensuring the use of China, silverware, and more.
- Assist with general kitchen preparation, including cooking proteins, chopping vegetables, and assembling items for service.
- Support line service by plating menu items and restocking supplies during active service hours.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers to facilitate smooth daily operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to aid Retail Food Operations.
