Qualifications
While prior caregiving experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. All CAREGivers will receive comprehensive training tailored by Home Instead, culminating in an in-house certification in personal care tasks. This training ensures you will feel confident and prepared to assist clients in achieving their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.To qualify as a CAREGiver, you must meet the following criteria:Demonstrate kindness and respect in caring for seniors and their propertyCommunicate effectively and warmly with clientsExhibit reliability and trustworthinessPass a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screeningHold a valid driver’s license and maintain valid auto insuranceBe at least 21 years of ageAvailability to work between 15-40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in companionship and meaningful conversation
- Perform light housekeeping duties and prepare meals
- Offer medication reminders and help with scheduling appointments
- Assist clients with grooming and bathing
- Support toileting and incontinence care
- Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s and other cognitive challenges
