About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Head Compounding Pharmacist, the Compounding Lab Manager will oversee daily operations within our compounding labs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our compounding capabilities while participating in the development of innovative compounded treatments. Your focus will be on maximizing quality and ensuring patient safety while adhering to all federal and state pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the direct personnel manager for compounding technicians, handling PTO requests, performance management, time management, and conducting annual reviews.
Facilitate the training of all new compounding technicians on the equipment and processes utilized in the compounding suites.
Engage in the daily operations of the pharmacy.
Serve as the subject matter expert on all compounding suite equipment, collaborating with suppliers to optimize equipment performance with the support of the Technical Services team.
Collaborate with Quality Operations and the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to uphold the quality of compounded medications and ensure employee safety in the compounding suites.
Organize and maintain documentation related to the compounding suites, including environmental controls, scale calibrations, and hood certifications, with the assistance of the Compounding Maintenance team.
